Composition of Two genres

August 29 ,2021 , these two peoples’ paths connected again. Steven age 19 and Adriana age 18. They were friends for a very long time but as middle school ended and highschool started they drifted away. After high school Adrianna decided to go to college while Steven chose to join the military. But who would have thought they two separate friends would become friends again then turn into something so much more even though they chose two different paths. They found it hard to understand why they each chose the path they chose. Steven was in Mississippi when Adriana found out he was in the military. Adriana never wanted to ask him why he joined the military but she always asked 

“Does the military make you happy?”

Steven replies 

“Yes, sometimes it’s stressful and I hate it but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

Steven and Adriana used to be on the phone everyday falling asleep on the phone, eating on the phone. But never did she know that she would end up loving him for who he is and his passion. While Steven loves her for who she is, her passion. Steven always asked

“Why college?

Adriana replied 

“Truthfully it’s just the first thing that came to mind, I wanna take over my dad’s small business one day and one day I want to create a business of my own.”

Steven always told her 

“Just join the military.”

Adriana always said 

“No, the military is your dream.”

In reality when Adriana found out why Steven joined the military she realizes that it is okay to have your own dream or not want the dream that other people want for you.

Adriana finally builds up the courage and ask him 

“Why didn’t you wanna go to college?”

Steven said 

“College just never looked like it was for me, I never actually liked school but I knew I had to finish up to highschool.”

After opening up to each other about their decisions Steven and Adriana grew so much more feelings for each other because they each gave the other a new outlook on the college decision and the non college decision. They respect each others decisions and motivate each other to stand strong on their decision no matter how hard it gets because at the end of the day there love and there bond and there support over powers the stress that they choices give them, but they wouldn’t change their decision for the world,

                                                    Rationale

The purpose of me writing this is to show readers the different perspectives of people’s choices. In the short short Xavier chose the military while Adriana chose college. This just goes to support how sometimes a decision fits one person more than it fits another person. The purpose of this is to show readers that it is okay to make a decision based on what you want. The world does not determine who you are and what you do with your life , as long as you have a great support system and loving people in your life to help you get through it, that is all that matters. Nothing is easy in life, even the choices that you think are easy are not easy. My work is to get people to understand both sides of a serious topic. There are so many people out here in the world who don’t realize you can not judge someone for their decision or force them to make a decision they do not want to make. Especially parents and teachers, parents and teachers are very big on you to go to college. It’s necessary to have a great future, it is how you succeed in life, how you thrive but that is not always the case. Why is it that people’s first thing to tell you when you graduate highschool is to go to college or apply to college? Why not give kids other options or tell them the choice is yours and whatever you choose you will be supported. I want people to understand that life will always be hard on your passions and your dreams is what is going to make it easier because everyday no matter you choose you will know you choose it and it is ok to change the idea for a while because when you know it’s for you, you know.

                                                          Reflection 

I had many struggles writing this paper. I have had so much struggle in this class, but I really do try my best to understand as much as I can. It was not easy at the times I wanted to give up. I knew I had to keep going because this is the decision I made and I love this decision even through the hard times. Writing is paper. I truly did not know how to connect this paper to my research paper, but somehow I did it. I just got a little personal. When getting personal I feel as if the readers have a better chance of connecting with you. I told my story just through other people. The two genres I chose were romance, realistic fiction and romance. I chose these two genres because they connected with me the most. Telling an actual love story or some of a love story through other people but about other people. The rhetorical situation I found myself using is trying to bring my words into existence, trying to make my readers see the two points of view, understanding that these two people have love for two different things . The process of moving from my research paper to this was so hard, because at first I just didn’t know what the message was due to the fact that there are so many messages in my one research paper. The research paper you could talk about life, you could talk about understanding, you could talk about decision making. It was not easy, and I feel the research paper could have an audience of people who are 16 and older because that’s when you mostly start thinking about college
